Short description:
The story of Serbian village high in Bosnian mountains which inhabitants,
in the middle of war, have found themselves under the impact of
two ideologies, Chetniks and Partisans. The representatives of those
two ideologies are Partisan commander Spanac, and former Royal officer
Radekic. Spanac is an indoctrinated fanatic, bearer of "changing
the world" ideas not caring for victims, and the other is a true expert
in situation, a man of those parts who is trying to rescue people,
even at the price of his ideas. Spanac sees reasons for bitter
resistance to new ideology in Radekic. By the motives of synonymous
Branko Copic's novel.
