Short description:
Defending her love towards servant Sergej, who is more in love with her
richness and high position than with her, Katarina, with his help,
murders her husband and father-in-law, and becomes an infanticide person.
When, during exile to Siberia, Sergej falls in love with another
woman, Katarina does not hesitate to remove her also. She finds
death in the river, together with her rival.
