Short description:
First story: A group of Partisans, fighting against heavy winter and enemy,
arrives to a mountain village, hostile towards them. A peasant
woman, with whome the Partisans are staying, discovers that someone
has stolen her scarf. The squad stands before difficult decision -
but, nevertheless, condemns to death by firing squad a young man who
was not able to resist temptation.
Second story: One night during
the war, a daughter of a railroad station manager helps wounded Partisan
squad commander to escape. But, the Germans discover her and
condemn her to death.
