Short description:
The action includes period of time from May, 1945. to present time. Pavle,
Stojan and Dragisa, three war friends, take different positions
in their small town immediately after the war. Pavle, political war
commissar, teaches in local school. Stojan, former pre-war bakerman,
is now a local Party secretary, thanks to Pavle, and Dragisa works
in NSA. In 1947. Stojan and Pavle confront eachother because of Lena,
Stojan's fiance, who is in love with Pavle. Just then, Pavle is taken
to Goli otok, to prison. Stojan accepts his wife, marries her and
gives his last name to a new-born child.
But the fire of political
events spoils their lives, and they are not able to stop it anymore.
They become a part of it, and it's victims.
