Short description:
18 years old man lives in Savamala, the notorious part of Belgrade. In
1936. In Europe, you could feel the danger from the approaching world
clash. In stormy ambient of Savamala, different passions conflict,
and bloody strikes are a premonition of larger struggle. The young
man is trying to exit the frames of poor life and to reach "better
society". He falls in love, draws comics, and Savamala offers him poverty
of everyday's life, crime, gambling, anarchy, singers, failed
poets. But, different men emerge, political conscience of the repressed
also. From the events which will disturb Savamala and from their
participants, the young man will learn about world and life, and
will become a man instead of scatterbrain.
