Short description:
In World War II, a young Jewish girl, looking for her relatives, recognizes
her childhood friend in a Jewish transport commander, an Austrian.
During the Partisan attack on transport, the Austrian gets wounded
and manages to rescue himself only because of the girl's help. Girl's
support for him becomes suspicious in the eyes of Partisan commander,
and he mistrusts her. Under the dramatic circumstances, the
Austrian tries to find the girl, while she gets more and more attached
to the Partisan commander. Love is born between the two of them,
and the Austrian, embittered for losing her, becomes the leader of the
most severe punitive expeditions.
