Genre: War film
Director: Djordje Kadijevic
Short description:
In Banat, during the war, Partisan commander Zarki fell into the volksdeutsche
hands. They drag him in chains to the village, torture him
in public, in order to get names of the people in the movement. Surprised
by his resisting power, the volksdeutschers are trying to break
his persistence and destroy the pride with which he answers the torture.
Enraged with helplessness, they choose the most horrible death
for Zarki - bury him alive in sand which will cover even the traces
of him. Zarki will die undefeated, free, he will die on his own.
